Membership by Invitation Only
Guests are welcome but should receive permission prior to hunting from the Secretary. Their "capping" fee (guest fee) in the form of a check or correct cash amount should be presented in an envelope to the Hunt Secretary (or substitute) with name and address of guest before hounds move off. Hill Toppers are counted as regular guests and the same capping fees apply. Capping allows a guest three opportunities in the space of a hunt year to join in and ride. Members are expected to pay their subscription obligations as due. The hunt “Season” begins and ends on "Opening Day". All members and guests must sign a Release Form before hunting.
Parents of children who wish to hunt should contact the Secretary. Children must be chaperoned by an adult.
Membership Levels
There are several ways in which to participate in SVH membership. The most active level is to support the hunt as a full subscription member. This is an open invitation to attend all the scheduled hunt fixtures and special events that occur throughout the year. This level is divided into three categories, Single, Family and Junior Membership. Single designates one person or self. Family would include a husband and wife or life partner plus any children (Family members must reside under the same roof). Junior is anyone 18 to 21 who is a enrolled as a full time college student.
Sustaining Membership
Those who wish to support SVH may make a donation to become a sustaining member. This membership includes listing their names in the hunt roster as well as being invited to all the social activities throughout the season. They are however limited in their riding privileges. They have the opportunity to cap and pay the appropriate capping fees.SVH Fees
